This brief course will be an exploration of the broad strokes of how God has revealed throughout history His plan to redeem mankind back to Himself—hitting the highlights of the overarching plan of God in history yet tying it all together in a way that you may not have seen before.
The covenants God made with mankind are a revealing of divine intentions. They are the stepping stones that lay out for us all of salvation history. Through the mechanism of covenants, God is establishing a relationship with man, and revealing to man elements of His plan for dealing with the problem of sin.
Yet, it is not just in understanding the details of the covenants, but also in how they relate to one another that we can better understand the relationship of the New Testament to the Old, and of Israel to the church—as well as our place in the plan of God.
Our hope is that by taking this course, you will be able to see the forest for the trees in a clearer way than you have before. It is important to take a step back to see the bigger picture so that all the smaller pieces make more sense.
When we have a better grasp on the big picture, we can then be in a better position to see where we fit in to that picture.
