Rabbinic Theology

The purpose for our Jewish Culture section is to provide information that will build the Jewish evangelism skills of our readers. We have articles on ritual objects and the like that are intimately connected to Rabbinic Judaism such as Sabbath candlesticks, the Passover Seder plate, prayer shawls, etc. We trust that a familiarity with such items will make you feel more comfortable with your Jewish friends and in their homes. Knowledge of these items can also be used as conversation starters. Thoughtful questions can do wonders in building a relationship.

We also want to familiarize you with Jewish theological thinking and biblical interpretation. If you are prepared in this way, you will not be surprised at the objections expressed regarding the Messiahship of Jesus or biblical interpretation. You will be better able to field questions and objections in a competent and understanding manner as well as contrast biblical truth with rabbinic error. Therefore, in the months ahead, we will briefly expose you to such subjects as 1) the position of tradition verses scripture, 2) the nature of rabbinic authority and infallibility, 3) what is sin or the evil inclination, and 4) the nature of salvation from a rabbinic perspective. We think you will be surprised and encouraged to see that Rabbinic Judaism is a man-made religion that is full of biblical misunderstanding. This will prepare you to present biblical truth to your Jewish friends, relatives, co-workers and neighbors.
