
Racheli Morris
Racheli Morris, M.Ed. received her masters from Bar-Ilan University in Tel Aviv. She specialized in teaching Hebrew to non-native speakers who immigrated to Israel. In order to teach Hebrew outside Israel, Racheli did an additional year of training in techniques for Hebrew education, including Jewish studies and culture. In 2002, Racheli began teaching Hebrew in the United States. She was part of the experiment in new teaching theories in Hebrew for students. She incorporates the three leading methodologies of Hebrew learning in her teaching. Her classes use a combination of regular dialogues, reading short stories with questions to test reading comprehension, writing short essays to promote fluency, all the while incorporating grammar lessons. She was also the author of a monthly column in Jewish magazines writing about Jewish traditions. Racheli has been an educator since 1994 and has been an instructor at UCI for six years.
